Benedict Morelli is a New York Based Lawyer specializing in employment discrimination cases, false arrests, complex product liability, civil rights, auto accidents, labor law, premises, and several other categories of cases. Mr. Morelli has been very successful in obtaining multiple multi-million dollar verdicts. For example, in 1995 Morelli obtained a $40 million dollar verdict that was named one of the top ten verdicts in the country by the National Law Journal. Morelli represents individuals who are filing suits against major corporations and large investment banks.

Education and Early Career

Benedict Morelli earned his undergraduate degree from City College, NY in 1971. He then went on to study law New York Law School. He began his career in law as a clerk in a personal injury law firm, before becoming eligible to sit for the bar. Following his admission to the New York State Bar, he was promoted to a partner within his firm and eventually went on to become a senior partner in 1990.

Career Progressions

In 1998, Mr. Morelli began his own law firm, naming it Benedict P. Morelli & Associates. This later changed to simply Morelli Law Firm. In 2010, Mr. Morelli acted as lead counsel in a thirty-year-old case regarding a polio vaccine, receiving the largest vaccine verdict in U.S. history of $22.5 million. The following year, Mr. Morelli won history's largest single-plaintiff sexual harassment case with a $95 million verdict.

Television Appearances

Mr. Morelli participated in two seasons of "Power of Attorney," which is a nationally syndicated program. He has also been featured on popular shows such as The Today Show, Anderson Cooper 360, Good Morning America, Dateline NBC, Court TV, and The View. He was also the focus of a five-page feature article in New York Magazine titled "Benedict Morelli Feels Your Pain".

Current Projects

Mr. Morelli is currently representing clients who are involved in mass tort litigations such as Chantix, Levaquin, Yaz/Yasmin, and Transvaginal Mesh. His firm is also representing hundreds of individuals in the ongoing BP oil spill case.
